AM Solutions presents Processing Solutions at Formnext 2023

From November 07 to 10, 2023, Formnext in Frankfurt am Main will once again swing into action to become the international hub for additive manufacturing and 3D printing. The focus will be on innovative AM solutions, and AM Solutions – 3D post processing technology in particular will make an appearance with its formative equipment and technologies that hold out the prospect of increased automation and process optimization.

“Formnext is the highlight of the year for us,” says a delighted David Soldan, Head of AM Solutions – 3D post processing technology. “It is the leading international trade fair for 3D printing and enables professional exchange at the highest level.”

The company will be presenting not only two new developments but also advanced post-processing solutions at a 150-square-meter booth, including:

  • S1: 2-in-1 solution for cleaning and surface finishing of polymer parts,
  • S2: Pass-through solution that ensures homogeneous cleaning and surface finishing of plastic parts,
  • S1 Wet: Wet jet solution for the treatment of AM metal parts,
  • C1: For more efficient and faster removal of support/resin from photopolymers thanks to precisely coordinated thermal and mechanical processes.

“We are always thinking further in the direction of series production. With our 2-in-1 principle, we map two process steps in just one machine, thus significantly streamlining the process chain, increasing automation and ultimately significantly reducing unit costs. In this way, we are addressing precisely a pain point for companies that are considering series production using 3D printing technology,” explains Soldan.

The concept was put to the test at Weerg, an Italian service company, which not only saved on investment and floor space by using an S1, but also reduced processing time by over 60 percent.

The main innovations unveiled by the company are the C2, which has the ability to combine chemical smoothing and coloring of AM plastic parts in a single process step. In parallel, the M4 will be presented, which is ideally suited for the surface finishing of small and medium-sized metal and plastic parts and impresses with its plug-and-play orientation.

“These impressive numbers show that we are on the right track with our unique solution approach and can effectively address the challenges companies face in additive manufacturing,” Soldan emphasizes.

AM Solutions attaches great importance to customer proximity and therefore uses strategic partnerships and networks to develop systems that meet the practical requirements of tomorrow. In doing so, the company does not merely act as a supplier, but acts as a development and project partner to find and implement solutions tailored to companies’ individual process challenges.

“Our goal is always to realize the optimal solution for the tasks of our customers or the market, and to generate a decisive added value compared to existing market solutions. That’s why we took the necessary time in developing the C2 to create the perfect process from the customer’s point of view: efficient, economical, space-saving, and at the same time harmless and safe,” says Soldan. “We don’t just take a superficial look, but also get into the processes if necessary and work with our customers to find a solution tailored to their process,” Soldan explains.

Further insights and practical information are available to trade show visitors in Hall 12.0, Stand D59.
