Bantle 3D optimizes Micro Parts Production with BMF microArch S240

BANTLE 3D, a 3D manufacturing expert based in Fluorn-Winzeln, Germany, is revolutionizing the processing of metal and plastic. Recently, the company has enabled its customers to obtain high-precision micro parts through a 3D printer from Boston Micro Fabrication (BMF), a pioneer in the development of advanced manufacturing solutions. Using the microArch S240, based on BMF’s patented Projection Micro Stereolithography (PµSL) technology, prototypes and low-volume parts can now be produced with unparalleled resolution and precision.

When Andy Bantle took the plunge into self-employment in 2020, his goal was clearly defined:

“We want to open up the advantages of 3D machining technologies to our customers, from design and CAM programming to automation, equipment and fixture construction, and three- and five-axis machining,” says the young entrepreneur.

Bantle3D is expanding its offering to include micro-precision 3D printing, made possible by BMF’s microArch S240 system.

“It allows us to produce prototypes in three days that you would have to wait three months for if they were produced by high-precision injection molding as usual,” Andy Bantle reports.

The flexible 3D printer allows the production of 250 microcomponents in a single pass, a crucial expansion of the range of services for customers in the electronics, cosmetics, medical and laboratory technology sectors.

From printing speed to material distribution, many parameters can be customized to ensure optimal quality.

“We are the only supplier in southern Germany for micro parts from the microArch S240,” says Andy Bantle. “Word is spreading fast among customers in electronics, cosmetics, medical and laboratory technology.”

For about three weeks, the micro-precision 3D printer is now busy with an interesting large-scale project:

“Around 200 different components of a complete mechanical wristwatch will be printed and post-processed,” Andy Bantle is pleased to report.

The integration of the microArch S240 at BANTLE 3D demonstrates the immense potential and flexibility of 3D printing technologies in the production of high-precision micro parts.
