BOFA publishes files for 3D PrintPRO extraction system connector

BOFA, a leading 3D printing filtration specialist, has made .STEP files available for download on its website so that manufacturers and end users can print their own connector for a 3D PrintPRO 2, 3 or 4 suction system. The use of PLA as the starting material is recommended.

The files are available at https://bofainternational.com/print-your-own, and current options are available for 3D printers with exhaust fans. Before downloading, users should measure the external dimensions of the fan or fan housing and select the appropriate file.

Shravya Nahar, Product Manager at BOFA, commented: “We decided to make ‘print your own connectors’ available in response to customer requests to improve ease of connectivity with our extraction systems. With such a wide variety of designs for 3D printers available, we wanted to create an easily accessible library of on-demand parts for all attachment possibilities, starting with the most common connection point – exhaust fans.”

BOFA plans to provide more connection options soon for printers without exhaust fans.
