CADS Additive and m4p material solutions form a relationship to optimize PBF scanning strategies

CADS Additive GmbH, an Austrian manufacturer of high-performance AM process data preparation algorithms, services and software, and m4p, an Austrian/German Powder Technology and Service Provider, announce a close collaboration by using CADS’s AM-Studio for highly advanced powder quality parameter qualification to kickstart industrialized productivity and standards.

CADS Additive’s AM-Studio is a well-established data preparation suite for transferring CAD data into AM machine code. Its white label version is already widely incorporated and approved in various design programs. The modern and visionary design workflow of this stand-alone version supports the user and operator interactively on his way to succeed in “First Time Right”.

The core features of the AM-Studio are highly developed slicing/hatching and support algorithms featuring highest computational performance by minimal memory usage. This revolutionary development is already a game changing, turn-key innovation.

m4p, an international known metal powder supplier, qualified for most of the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) for metal-based AM like EOS, SLM Solutions, DMG-ReaLizer, Renishaw, Sisma-Trumpf, etc., is expanding its material portfolio frequently. “To fulfill all the necessities of our customers and the markets demands, we at m4p need a flexible, easy to use and independent tool which is designated to interface and translate the developed parameters for materials to as many as possible AM-metal systems”, Dr. Andreas Pelz, CTO of m4p, explains.

“The direct connection to m4p and access to their test and production equipment enables us to stabilize and expand our AM-Studio performance constantly for advanced industrial production processes. Furthermore, the cooperation will give us a direct feedback from the market by an experienced team”, Peter Leitner, Head of Innovation at CADS Additive, emphasizes. “Being a partner with m4p is what makes CADS Additive a better software solution provider within the AM environment”.
