Clarkson College and 3D Systems Team Up to create Center of Excellence for 3D Printing and Training

A partnership between 3D Systems and Clarkson College will establish the 3D Printing and Training Center of Excellence. Located on the campus of Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, this state-of-the-art facility represents a step forward for the region in healthcare innovation, education and patient care.

Clarkson College, known for its excellence in healthcare education, and 3D Systems, a leader in 3D printing, combine decades of experience in this partnership. The shared goal: to make 3D printing and visualization available to medical facilities throughout the region. The focus will be on education, consulting, individualized patient care and research.

Already, Patricia Weber, assistant director of radiography/medical imaging at Clarkson College, and Blair Kauzlarich, administrator of the 3D Printing Education Center, are showcasing patient-specific tools and anatomical models printed through the partnership with 3D Systems.

By closely integrating technology and medical care, there are many benefits for Omaha and the surrounding communities. These include accelerated innovation through clinical engagement and the ability to deliver improved patient outcomes. The center enables FDA-approved, patient-specific devices to be printed on-site and made available to medical professionals in the region.
