ERA Industries acquires 3D Printing Service Provider i3DMFG

Chicago-based ERA Industries has acquired i3DMFG, an Oregon-based metal 3D printing service provider.

2023 was an active year for ERA Industries in terms of corporate acquisitions. Prior to the i3DMFG acquisition, the company had already added Gen El Mec (GEM) in August. GEM, based in Oxford, Connecticut, has decades of precision manufacturing experience, similar to ERA, and has traditionally served customers in the semiconductor market as well as defense, aerospace and optics. i3DMFG’s collaboration with ERA and GEM will create significant value for both i3D and ERA/GEM customers.

Although i3DMFG is now part of the ERA platform, the company will continue to operate as an independent business unit. The i3D team will drive the business within this expanded platform. L Squared Capital Partners, the financial backer behind ERA’s rapid expansion, indicates that this business combination strategy will continue.

The entry of i3DMFG into the ERA network marks a new stage in the development of 3D printing solutions. This consolidation is expected to bring benefits to both customers and the companies involved. Those who require further information can contact the relevant i3D contact person directly.
