Market for polymer 3D printing to grow to over 45 billion dollars by 2032 according to study

According to a new study by VoxelMatters Research, the market for hardware, software, materials and services related to polymer 3D printing will grow to over 45 billion US dollars per year by 2032.

The market analysis shows that the sector already had a turnover of 5.6 billion dollars in 2022 – a growth of 19 percent compared to the previous year. An average annual growth rate of 23.3% is forecast until 2032.

According to the study, the industrial manufacturing, automotive, consumer goods and dental technology sectors are particularly important customers and account for around half of the market. In regional terms, North America is currently the leader, closely followed by EMEA.

The experts at VoxelMatters evaluated data from over 7,000 companies for the analysis, including leading companies such as 3D Systems, EOS, HP, Materialise and Ultimaker. They identified 233 hardware manufacturers, 211 material suppliers and 455 service providers.

According to VoxelMatters, the study is aimed at existing companies in order to support strategies and product developments. On the other hand, it is also intended to make it easier for companies to enter the market and serve as a basis for investors to make decisions.

Overall, the renewed strong growth path confirms the increasing acceptance of 3D printing for series parts and industrial production. The Polymer AM Market 2023 report can be pre-ordered for 4000 British pounds.
