Mosaic announces expansion into orthopaedic technology through new partnership with Taika3D

The 3D printer manufacturer Mosaic has announced a partnership with the company Taika3D. This technology offers an efficient solution for the production of individual orthopaedic aids that is both cost-effective and can be implemented locally.

The production of customized orthotics using 3D printing is not new, but has often been hampered by the high initial cost of the necessary equipment and the time-consuming post-processing process. Mosaics Array provides an answer to these challenges by enabling production with minimal operator effort.

In collaboration with medical professionals and centralized manufacturing facilities in the field of orthotics, Mosaic has validated an efficient, end-to-end workflow that simplifies the production of orthotics. To further optimize this process, Mosaic is partnering with orthotic design software companies to simplify the processing of prescriptions and patient scan data and provide customers with a seamless workflow.

One such partnership is with Taika3D, a pioneer in orthotic design technology. This collaboration aims to optimize Taika3D’s design automation software for Mosaic’s flagship product, the Array.

Steve Cook, Co-founder and CEO of Taika3D, shared his perspective: “We believe that the future of orthotic design and manufacture hinges on collaborative partnerships and innovative technologies. Our optimization for the Mosaic Array signifies our support for customers manufacturing FFF at high volume, and we are excited to explore this market with Mosaic. Furthermore, we remain open to exploring collaborations with printing companies and those employing alternative methods for manufacturing, as we strive to continually expand the horizons of personalized healthcare solutions.”

This collaboration marks an important step in improving the production and design of custom orthotics, with a focus on simplifying manufacturing processes and increasing accessibility for personalized medical solutions.
