OnX Tough 2: SprintRay presents 3D Printing Resin for Fixed Hybrid Dentures

3D printing specialist SprintRay has announced the launch of OnX Tough 2 material. According to the company, it is the first and only 3D printing resin with a 510 (k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for fixed hybrid dentures.

The OnX Tough 2 was formulated using proprietary NanoFusion technology. This technology suspends the optimal amount of ceramic in the formulation, minimizing mixing. NanoFusion increases structural integrity, making restorations printed with OnX Tough 2 exceptionally durable and suitable for demanding dental applications such as implant-supported dentures.

Available in Bleach, A1 and A2 shades, the new pigments of OnX Tough 2 have been formulated for enhanced optical performance, ensuring highly accurate color matching and improved color stability. Dentures 3D-printed with OnX Tough 2 provide optimal radiopacity for imaging diagnostics, treatment planning, and healing and progress monitoring.

The combination of OnX Tough 2 and the SprintRay ecosystem makes it possible to 3D print, wash and cure ten fixed prostheses in just 30 minutes. For each product, the entire workflow is considered from start to finish. As a result, OnX Tough 2 was designed to usher in a new era of same-day restorations that meet the highest clinical standards and allow patients to enjoy the benefits of their new smiles immediately.

Delivering premium strength and lab-quality aesthetics with OnX Tough 2 – the first and only FDA-cleared 3D printing resin available for fixed hybrid dentures on the market – signals a remarkable advance in dental technology that ushers in a new era of accessibility and convenience for both providers and patients. This is a significant step towards more efficient and patient-friendly solutions in the field of dental prosthetics.
