SelectAM platform enables ordering of 3D printed parts

Startup SelectAM has launched a platform for the complete process chain from identifying suitable parts to ordering 3D-printed parts. The AI-based application is now available in a free basic version, according to the company.

Users can upload CAD data and have a suitability for additive manufacturing verified. The software provides price and delivery time forecasts and can calculate potential savings. A mesh check and evaluation of data quality is also integrated. Registration is not required for this basic version.

In the paid premium version, users can store their own 3D printers and materials. In addition, detailed calculations, nesting and slicing simulations for various processes are possible. At the end, a 3D print order can be placed directly.

According to SelectAM, by identifying suitable parts and processes, the platform saves time and facilitates the decision to 3D print. For produced parts, a choice can be made from diverse technologies and materials. The order is placed via a connection to the manufacturing service provider Jellypipe.
