Solid Print3D, a 3D printing and 3D scanning specialist in the UK, announced the acquisition of 3DVerkstan, a Stockholm-based 3D printing and solutions provider with a subsidiary in Denmark.
Solid Print3D is part of TriMech Group and a subsidiary of Solid Solutions, one of the largest SolidWorks and CAD resellers in the world. The company supports more than 20,000 engineering companies in the UK and Ireland. The acquisition of 3DVerkstan Nordic AB is part of Solid Solutions’ and Solid Print3D’s European growth strategy.
3DVerkstan Nordic AB had been in receivership since April 21. After intensive negotiations, Solid Print3D was able to acquire the company, ensuring its continued operations. Both companies share similar values, a customer-oriented corporate culture and a broad product portfolio. As a result, Solid Print3D is able to immediately add value and support 3DVerkstan’s transition and future growth.
“There are clear synergies between 3DVerkstan and Solid Print 3D, from their incredible team, products, culture to the fantastic leadership – I believe together we can build quickly to deliver positive results, allowing the 3DVerkstan team to continue to deliver the amazing support and service to their customers”, comments Neil Sewell, Managing Director of Solid Print3D.
“After three very hectic weeks I feel very happy that we together with Lindskog Malmström Advokatbyrå have managed to present the values of 3DVerkstan and found an agreement with Solid Print3D who now will take 3DVerkstan into the next phase with a continued growth. I’m looking forward to the next chapter of 3DVerkstan and the positive momentum we’ll get with this new ownership where 3DVerkstan will cement and further develop its role as one of the strongest and most appreciated AM-supplier on the nordic market, now with a solid and strong owner backing us to 100%”, says Patrik Rosén, CEO 3DVerkstan Nordic AB.
The acquisition of 3DVerkstan by Solid Print3D enables both companies to expand strategically and strengthens their position in 3D printing and additive manufacturing in Europe.
