Sygnis receives exclusive License for Filament Modification Method

Sygnis SA, a NewConnect-listed deeptech company, has received an exclusive license to use an innovative method for modifying filaments from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań on July 3, 2023.

LFDM technology allows chemicals, dyes, pesticides, proteins and others to be introduced directly into polymer materials using a standard FDM printer. This enables the use of substances that were previously incompatible due to physical or chemical transformations. In addition, LFDM technology replaces expensive and energy-consuming processing equipment.

“It is a unique and simple concept of how to directly combine chemistry with 3D printing. The method was developed in our team 3 years ago. After preparing the patent application, we have published our solution and encourage you to use the LFDM method and its further creative development,” says Prof. Robert E. Przekop from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

The license allows Sygnis SA to manufacture and sell products using this method in Poland until June 27, 2033, with royalties dependent on revenue from product sales.

By acquiring this license, Sygnis SA strengthens its position in the processing and chemical market and increases revenue from the sale of 3D printing accessories. Cooperation with Adam Mickiewicz University will enable further partnerships with scientific institutions.
