In a collaboration with the Finnish design studio KAYIWA, Materialise created a series 3D printed cloth rack called DINO.
Blurring the line between design and art, the eye-catching DINO rack serves as a functional piece of furniture that fits in a foyer, walk-in closet, wardrobe, lounge or even fashion boutique.
“During the last decade, 3D printing technology advanced considerably, which allowed the true vision for DINO to be realized,” says Lincoln Kayiwa, Designer and Founder of KAYIWA design studio. “In line with KAYIWA’s sustainability values, hangers are produced only to meet the exact demand. The remaining polyamide powder from the laser-sintered parts is reused. Nothing goes to waste.”
Along the stainless steel bar the hangers with spacers in between remain organised, and easily swing back and forth or move side-to-side.
The DINO rack is now available in three versatile models (straight, wavy, modular) and eight colours (black, blue, green, orange, red, violett, white , yellow).
