America Makes and ANSI Form Additive Manufacturing Standardization Collaborative

The National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, America Makes, has collaborated with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to launch the Additive Manufacturing Standarization Collaborative (AMSC).

AMSC aims at coordinating and accelerating the development of industry-wide standards and specifications for additive manufacturing in order to facilitate the industry’s growth. While a number of organisations are already developing standards-settings for severals aspects of the technology, AMSC will take over to coordination to make sure they are consistent, harmonised and non-contradictory. AMSC will not only identify existing standards but also asses gaps and make recommendations for areas of priority.

The inaugural meeting will be held on March 31 in Philadelphia. Participation is open to any interested person. You can find out more detailed information about the event and register on the AMSC website.
