Fehrmann and Armstrong Asia rely on AI for advanced material solutions

Fehrmann Tech Group, known for high-performance aluminum alloys, has announced a collaboration with Armstrong Group, the Asian specialist in innovative foam and elastomer solutions. Together, they aim to optimize material development through artificial intelligence (AI), especially in automotive and aerospace industries.

Henning Fehrmann, CEO of Fehrmann Tech Group, emphasizes the added value of the cooperation. “The Asia-Pacific region offers us enormous opportunities. Our technologies can set new standards here,” says Fehrmann. Armstrong Asia also sees the cooperation as an opportunity to make greater use of its cross-industry expertise.

A core part of the partnership is FEHRMANN Materials X. This division of Fehrmann focuses on materials informatics and digital development of high-performance materials. Close collaboration with FEHRMANN Materials results in tailor-made alloys. Their competencies in digital alloy development and materials informatics are essential for the joint venture.

Both partners expect groundbreaking innovations from the collaboration. These are based on Fehrmann’s aluminum know-how and Armstrong Asia’s rubber expertise. They could result in lightweight components and composite materials that combine aluminum and rubber.
