Printertools has introduced a handy webapp for 3D printing QR codes. With “QR Code 2 STL“, one can create an STL file for the 3D printer from a QR code with just a few clicks.
The user can easily specify a URL, wifi password, email address or contact information (vCard) in an interface and generate an STL file with a few clicks. It is also possible to import an existing QR code as an image. After a preview, you can save the file on your computer and produce it using a 3D printer.
For those who don’t want to work with the web tool, the latest Prusaslicer update provides another option to produce QR codes with the 3D printer. With the new function to import SVG files, QR codes can also be imported easily.
Here’s a little inspiration of what can quickly and easily be achieved with the SVG emboss tool in new PrusaSlicer 2.7.0-alpha1 🤓
You’re encouraged to share the awesome stuff you will conjure up with this new feature! 😎
