Headmade Materials expands ColdMetalFusion portfolio with Inconel 625 and titanium aluminide TiAl4822

Headmade Materials has expanded its range of materials for the ColdMetalFusion standard to include Inconel 625 and titanium aluminide TiAl4822. According to the press release, this is part of the roadmap to enable a wide range of materials with high performance and suitability for series production.

Titanium aluminide TiAl4822 is characterized by excellent mechanical properties as well as heat and corrosion resistance. It is therefore ideal for aerospace and manufacturing innovations. Inconel 625 is a nickel-based superalloy with high strength and very good heat and corrosion resistance. It is primarily used in corrosive environments such as the aerospace industry.

According to Headmade, Inconel 625 significantly exceeds mechanical standards. Managing Director Christian Staudigel sees great demand in many industries for the ColdMetalFusion standard with the new materials, which enables high-quality series parts.

According to Staudigel, the materials presented underline the broad possibilities of the ColdMetalFusion process for complex metal parts with outstanding properties. Interested parties can get a first-hand impression at the Formnext trade fair stand.
