RCAM Technologies buys Concrete 3D Printer from CyBe Construction

RCAM Technologies, a provider of 3D concrete printing solutions for offshore renewable energy, has signed a contract to purchase a gantry robot system, the CyBe GR, from CyBe Construction.

Founded in 2017, RCAM specializes in accelerating renewable energy deployment through 3D concrete printing technologies. The company develops cost-effective, sustainable concrete solutions for renewable energy, including energy storage and foundations for solar, wave and wind turbines.

CyBe Construction has set the standard in the 3D printing industry. The CyBe GR features high printing speed, precision and ability to efficiently build complex structures.

The new printer will be based at RCAM’s Port of Los Angeles facility. With the CyBe GR, RCAM will expand its research and development capabilities in concrete 3D printing. The printer could revolutionize the industry with more efficient, sustainable construction methods.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and the California Energy Commission (CEC) are supporting the project. The funding enabled the purchase of the CyBe GR and supports the development of 3D-printed concrete energy storage for offshore wind turbines.

“This transformative technology takes us leaps and bounds beyond our current capabilities, paving the way for a more sustainable, cost-effective future, aligned with RCAM’s forward-thinking mission,” said Jason Cotrell, RCAM Founder & CEO.
