Tethon 3D, a Nebraska-based 3D printing service provider specialised on ceramic materials, has developed a ceramic composite resin for SLA and DLP printers.
Porcelite is an UV curable resin, that can be used in any UV-light-based 3D printer. Once removed from the printer, the solid ceramic composite objects can be fired to transform into 100% porcelain objects suitable for glazing and any other finishes.
In order to mass produce their proprietary material, Tethon 3D is has launched a campaign on Kickstarter and has currently already achieved its funding goal of $ 5,000. Pledging $ 200, backers will receive 1 litre of Porcelite resin, with delivery expected in April.
