
3D Hubs has just released their Trend Report for May, based on now over 16,000 printers in more than 150 countries worldwide. Their network is growing fast and steadily, adding 2,500 new locations only last month.
Their recent partnerships with Instructables, Sketchfab and MakerBot’s Thingiverse have most certainly contributed to that result.
In the category highest rated desktop 3D printer, the Form 1+ reclaimed the first place with a total of 407 reviews. The MakerBot Mini climbed up four spots to second place this month, leaving the Zortrax M200 in third place. The 4th spot is claimed by the Italian delta 3D printer DeltaWASP, that is steadily moving up the chart:
The highest rated industrial printers are Stratasys’ Objet Eden 260 and 3D Systems’ Projet 3500 HDMax, both achieving the highest possible rating with 5 stars:
The category trending printers features the Chinese CTC-3D printer on top of the ranking, with a MoM growth of 72%. Second place is taken by 3D Systems’ Cube 3 and bq’s Prusa i3 claims the third place:
