Bambu Lab recalls Bambu Lab A1 3D printer

Bambu Lab has announced that it is recalling its entire series of A1 3D printers. According to a statement from Bambu Lab, less than 0.1% of the printers sold were found to have problems with damaged heating bed cables.

“Although the number of faulty printers is very small, we take the safety of our customers very seriously. Until we know more about the exact cause of the problem with the heated bed cables, we recommend that you stop using the printers for safety reasons,” Bambu Lab explained in a statement.

To compensate customers for the inconvenience, the company is offering two options: Either returning the printer for a full refund or keeping the printer until a replacement of the heating bed should be possible at the end of March.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding,” the company continued. Bambu Lab has a great interest in ensuring the safety of its customers. As soon as further information on the cause of the damage is available, the company will provide immediate information.
