BIQU introduces affordable desktop 3D printer Hurakan

With the Hurakan, BIQU presents an affordable 3D printer for home use. A central aspect is the Klipper firmware pre-installed at the factory. The advanced software promises smoother movement sequences and more precise control without users having to carry out complex configurations. Klipper is complemented by support for the widely used Marlin system.

The integrated WLAN module is practical for everyday 3D printing operations. It enables wireless control and monitoring of printing processes via smartphone or tablet. Another highlight of the printer is the infinitely adjustable hotbed, which can be heated either completely or only in the middle – an energy-saving solution for small components.

The Hurakan also relies on automatic leveling using its own MicroProbe sensor system. The lightweight and low-wear sensor is designed to ensure precise positioning of the print bed.

Other features include an RGB lighting system to illuminate the build platform and a filament sensor that cancels prints when the material is empty, thus preventing material waste.

With its 220 x 220 x 270 mm build volume, the Hurakan is aimed at typical desktop applications. A starter set is also included in the scope of delivery. With a price of 349 euros, BIQU’s new product is positioned in the low-cost segment.
