German RepRap Launches Performance PLA

German RepRap has developed a new filament called Performance PLA. Objects printed with this material feature a very smooth surface, just like they would have gone through a finishing process.

Performance PLA can be printed at a lower temperature and therefore guarantees less heat distortion and better adhesion compared to other common PLA materials. According to German RepRap the material is not only targeted at makers but also industrial clients due to it being less brittle.

The new PLA has been specially designed for 3D printing applications and therefor guarantees excellent results. It is available in 2,1 kg (Ø3mm) and 750 g (Ø3mm / Ø1.75mm) spools via resellers or in the German RepRap online store.
