In a recent significant event, Mrs. Peggy Frantzen, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to India, visited Altem Technologies‘ 3D Innovation Center in Koramangala, Bangalore. The company, a pioneer in the 3D printing and scanning industry, showcased its latest technological developments during her visit.
The center itself embodies Altem’s commitment to excellence in 3D technologies. During the visit, several advanced 3D scanners from Artec3D were showcased, as well as several industrial FDM, DLP and Polyjet 3D printers from Stratasys.
A particular highlight was the collaboration between Altem and Artec3D of Luxembourg. Artec3D’s scanners have played a key role in numerous projects, particularly in the creation of custom prosthetics and orthotics. By using these scanners, orthotic and prosthetic products can be manufactured faster and more accurately, greatly improving patient comfort. Altem has already supported several healthcare organizations in India to implement this technology.
Ambassador Peggy Frantzen expressed her pride in Luxembourg’s contributions to the field of prosthetics and orthotics through Artec3D’s cutting-edge scanning technology:”Witnessing the tangible impact of Luxembourg’s technological innovations on improving lives globally is a source of immense pride. The collaboration between Altem Technologies and Artec3D has showcased our commitment to pushing the boundaries of healthcare solutions.”
Another fascinating area of application for the Artec3D scanners is cultural preservation. In an impressive project, ancient inscription stones in Bangalore were digitized using these scanners. Udaykumar P L, project director of Inscription Stones of Bangalore, praised the precision of the scanners, which made it possible to capture details even in difficult environments.
Udaykumar P L, Project Director of Inscription Stones of Bangalore, praised the importance of Artec3D scanners during the event: “The precision and detail captured by Artec3D scanners, even in challenging outdoor conditions like mountains and forests, have been invaluable in our mission to digitize and preserve the rich history inscribed on these stones. These scanners have allowed us to uncover the past in ways we never could have imagined.”
“We were truly honored to welcome the Ambassador from Luxembourg to our 3D Experience Centre. This visit was a testament to the global significance of our collaborations and the transformative potential of 3D Scanning and 3D printing technologies in various domains. The showcase of Artec3D’s cutting-edge scanners and their impact on medical applications and heritage preservation is a testament of technological innovation”, said Rajesh Mumbaraddi, Director at Altem Technologies.
