The US company LulzBot, once one of the largest and most influential manufacturers of desktop 3D printers, has announced the market launch of a new device: the TAZ Pro Long Bed has a very large print bed measuring 282 x 582 x 285 mm.
The 3D printer is the latest product in the TAZ Pro platform series. LulzBot hopes that this will mark a return to strength for the renowned brand, which struggled with serious financial difficulties a few years ago.
With the exceptionally long print bed, LulzBot is targeting professional users who want to produce large components in one piece. This is made possible by the powerful Asteroid 285 extruder with dual heating inserts and high material flow rates. The factory-installed BLTouch sensor performs 32-point mesh bed leveling prior to printing, providing a precise and solid foundation for successful prints.
The print bed is equipped with a removable magnetic plate with a laminated PEI surface. It enables easy removal of the finished components.
With a retail price of 7995 US dollars, the LulzBot TAZ Pro Long Bed is primarily aimed at professional users.
