Mosaic Manufacturing begins shipping its 3D printing systems

Canadian company Mosaic Manufacturing has announced the start of volume shipments of its Array and Element 3D printing systems. Array is designed to enable automated, distributed manufacturing of plastic components, while Element offers high-volume printing.

Mosaic Manufacturing said that after years of development and a six-month pilot customer program, Array has now been approved for volume production. The first systems are already shipping, with Element to follow beginning Nov. 16.

According to the company, Array is the first system capable of printing thousands of plastic parts on-site and without operator interaction. This is expected to make manufacturers more flexible, independent and resilient in their supply chains.

The Element printers feature large print volumes and individually temperature-controllable chambers. This allows temperature-sensitive and heat-resistant materials to be processed in parallel.
