NPPower introduces Malachite, an affordable metal 3D printer

Slovenian company NPPower has launched Malachite, an affordable desktop metal 3D printer that is ideal for small businesses, educational institutions, designers and laboratories.

The Malachite 3D printer produces solid metal objects by depositing very thin layers of metal powder onto a build plate, which is lowered layer by layer along the Z-axis. Each layer of metal powder is then fused at the required position for the object by selective melting with a high-power laser beam and galvo scanner directing the laser beam.

The LPBF 3D printer uses a 200 W fiber laser and galvo scanner to enable fast and efficient production of complex and unique objects. Its printing flexibility makes it suitable for all non-reactive metals such as cobalt-chrome, stainless steel, bronze, brass, nickel, etc. and offers a layer thickness of 15 to 85 µm. The entire process is further accelerated by a double-cylinder powder loading system and an intuitive user interface, making the Malachite simple and straightforward to operate.

Benefits of the Malachite include minimizing lead times and downtime, reducing production costs and material savings, rapid production of functional prototypes and final production parts, and many more. More information about the Malachite can be found here.
