Prusa speeds up delivery of Prusa XL 3D printers

Czech 3D printer manufacturer Prusa has announced an update on the production and delivery of its large-format Prusa XL 3D printer. According to Prusa, supply bottlenecks can now be overcome to accelerate the reduction of the pre-order waiting list.

Accordingly, Prusa expects to ship most of the XL pre-orders from 2021 by the end of 2022. Pre-orders from 2022 are expected to be fully processed by April 2023. For this, Prusa is currently splitting the orders into batches to allow for more accurate forecasts.

According to Prusa, building the XL printers requires significantly more time and capacity than other models. As a result, it was necessary to increase the workforce to almost 100 new employees. But now, he says, they finally have the resources they need to work through the backlog of orders more quickly.

Prusa apologizes for the delays. The update is intended to create more transparency and clarity about the current status.
