Raise3D introduces advances in 3D printing with Fiber-Reinforced Composites

3D printing with fiber-reinforced thermoplastics is experiencing a rapid upswing in industrial manufacturing. These materials offer cost-effective and robust solutions that are particularly suitable for high-performance industrial applications. Raise3D, a provider of flexible manufacturing solutions, recognized this early on and introduced two 3D printing solutions specifically for the production of carbon fiber-reinforced parts in 2021: the industrial RMF500 and the professional E2CF desktop 3D printer.

One of Raise3D’s notable advancements is the introduction of Hyper FFF technology for the RMF500, which allows the RMF500 to print at high speeds without compromising the quality of the final products.

“Fibers has not only unlocked enhanced performance but also presented challenges in high-speed FFF 3D printing. The key to overcoming these challenges lies in our deep understanding of fiber distribution and flowbehavior, which we have successfully achieved. As we move forward, we will release an expanding range of Hyper Core filaments, featuring varying fiber content and polymer matrices, further pushing the boundaries of 3Dprinting.” says Dr. Minde Jin (Ph.D.), Director of Materials and Applications at Raise3D.

Also innovative is Raise3D’s decision to implement an open material platform on both the E2CF and RMF500. This move allows customers to further explore the possibilities of additive manufacturing without compromising on production standards.

The RMF500 stands out in particular for its large build volume and robust mechanical structure. Equipped with IDEX (independent dual extruders), it promises to double productivity and versatility in multi-material printing.

The E2CF offers precision and reliability despite its compact size. Specifically optimized for printing with fiber-reinforced filaments, it is equipped with a dual gear extrusion system and silicon carbide nozzles.

Interested parties can see Raise3D’s innovative solutions in person at the Formnext trade show in Hall 12.1, Booth D11. The company has already announced that it will present further exciting news in the near future. So it remains exciting.
