Taiwanese 3D printer manufacturer XYZPrinting ceases operations

Taiwanese 3D printer manufacturer XYZPrinting, known for its daVinci series, has ceased operations. Back in March of this year, New Kinpo Group and Calcomp, the parent company of XYZPrinting, decided to sell the industrial division of SLS 3D printers to Nexa3D.

Fernando Hernandez, managing director for Europe, has already explained the company’s decision in a LinkedIn post. Although just a few years ago, XYZPrinting was one of the most well-known desktop 3D printer manufacturers. The company launched a broad portfolio of affordable printers.

However, in 2019, XYZprinting shifted its focus from the desktop market to the industrial sector. Thus, there have been no developments in the desktop sector at XYZprinting for several years.
