The free software MakeHuman allows for simple creation of human figures.
The open source software MakeHuman was developed as Phyton script for blender in 1999 and exists since 2005 as independent software for Windows, MacOSX and Unix. The Software enables the user to easily create detailed human bodies. Therefore the user can choose from a variety of attributes like gender, muscle structure and skin color. The models can be exported as .STL, .OBJ, . MHX files for further processing.
