Authentise expands collaboration tool with free version and AI functions

The software company Authentise has introduced extensive new features for its Threads platform. The web-based tool for project management and collaboration in product development now has a free entry-level version as well as AI-supported extensions.

Authentise launched Threads in June 2023 to provide engineers and designers with a central environment for sharing, discussing and managing 3D models and project information. Well-known customers such as Boeing and the US Department of Defense are already using the platform.

Based on feedback from these early adopters, numerous new functions have now been implemented. For example, 3D models can now be annotated directly in threads and these markups can be integrated into ongoing project conversations. With the help of AI suggestions, milestones can be better documented and conversations can be expanded into synchronous group meetings. The software also automatically creates topic-related summaries to make it easier for project participants to get involved in ongoing discussions.

According to Authentise CEO Andre Wegner, users were already able to significantly increase their productivity before the latest update thanks to Threads. For example, a manufacturer of surgical robots achieved a 150 percent return on its investment in the software within just six months, saving 150 working hours and 20 meetings for a distributed team.

The advanced features are now available in Authentise’s cloud environment with FedRAMP Moderate and ITAR security certification, as well as for on-premises installations. The new free “Starter” version can be set up independently at www.authentisethreads.com.
