Bambu Lab will soon start replacing the heating bed of the A1 3D printer

A few weeks ago, the Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Bambu Lab discovered a problem with the heating bed of its entry-level 3D printer Bambu Lab A1. As a result, the manufacturer launched a major recall campaign. The company has now announced on Reddit that the improved heating beds are already in production. They will be shipped this week.

The new, improved heated bed units are to be delivered by air freight to the manufacturer’s global warehouse locations before the end of March. Bambu Lab will then begin contacting all A1 owners who have submitted a corresponding support ticket. The spare parts will then be distributed step by step according to the order of the tickets.

Instructions on how to carry out the replacement process are already available to make it easier for customers to change the heating bed. In addition, the customer service team is available to answer individual questions.

The A1 3D printer will then be regularly available again via the Bambu Store from April. There is no exact date yet, but the company is working hard to make the printer available again as soon as possible.
