Carbon introduces three new Resins for its 3D Printing Platform

Carbon announced the introduction of three new resins to its platform – Pac-Dent Rodin Sculpture, Desktop Health Flexcera Base and Keystone KeyGuard. Each resin has been thoroughly tested and validated for use with Carbon’s printers and represents an expansion of Carbon’s dental materials portfolio.

The aim of this initiative is to provide dental laboratories with more diversity in their production and to explore new application possibilities. Carbon’s platform, known for its speed, precision and consistent results, now offers even more flexibility with these validated resins. These have been developed by leading material science companies and have undergone a rigorous testing process to ensure quality and compatibility.

“With the introduction of these new resins, dental labs can look forward to improving their workflow efficiency and product offerings while providing customers with the latest in dental care advancements,” said Phillip DeSimone, Co-Founder and Office of the CEO. “Each resin will unlock new opportunities for dental labs and further highlight Carbon’s unwavering resolve to drive dental industry innovation via advanced, best-in-class resins.”

The Pac-Dent Rodin Sculpture resin, developed for advanced dental restorations, offers a new All-on-X solution for temporary restorations on the carbon platform that is characterized by precision, aesthetics and strength. It is the first FDA 510k-approved resin in Carbon’s range for All-on-X temporary dental appliances and contains a nano-hybrid ceramic formulation for lifelike permanent restorations. It is also the first permanent crown material with over 50% ceramic filler to meet the requirements for updated ADA insurance codes.

Desktop Health Flexcera Base, another new addition to Carbon’s portfolio, is an innovation in denture base materials. This resin is designed for the fabrication of fracture-resistant denture bases with excellent esthetic quality. Both Flexcera Base and Flexcera Smile Ultra+ are FDA-approved, enabling dental laboratories to offer their customers reliable permanent and temporary solutions.

Keystone Industries complements the range with Keystone KeyGuard, a flexible resin ideal for the production of high-quality, customized mouthguards. This addition allows dental professionals to digitally design sports mouthguards with customizable wall thickness for end-user comfort and protection.
