CEAD, a specialist in robotic large-format 3D printing solutions, announced a collaboration with ADAXIS, a robotics software company. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen the integration between Flexbot solutions and AdaOne software and provide customers with a seamless experience for large-format 3D printing with composite materials.
Through the collaboration, CEAD aims to offer a more advanced and user-friendly overall solution for its customers. The agreement also resulted in the official launch of “AdaOne for Flexbot”, a software integration for CEAD’s Flexbot systems.
“Cultivating shared values and a unified vision with the ADAXIS team empowers us to innovate swiftly, steering our collaborative efforts toward the entire ecosystem of large format 3D printing.’’ states Maarten Logtenberg, co-founder and CTO of CEAD.
“AdaOne for Flexbot” introduces several useful features, including the automatic creation of rafts and scan-to-mill functionalities. With the automatic creation of rafts, the parts should be optimally fixed on the print bed of CEAD, which minimizes material consumption. The scan-to-mill function facilitates data collection after 3D printing and enables the automatic generation of a milling path based on the captured data. This feature ensures optimal alignment between the CAD model and the printed part.
“Our collaboration with the CEAD team allows us to offer a seamless user experience that is instantly accessible, fully leveraging the technology, with a dedicated focus on promising applications’’ states Guénolé Bras, co-founder and CTO of ADAXIS.
The integration of these features into one software platform represents a turning point for large-format 3D printing. CEAD’s refined methodology in large-format 3D printing comes together in the “AdaOne for Flexbot” platform, ensuring a smoother and more efficient experience for Flexbot users with increased consistency, reliability and build quality.
