Markforged Announces Mark X Composite Fibre 3D Printer

Markforged announced their new Mark X with higher precision, a larger build volume and a laser scanner for in-process inspections.

After announcing the Mark Two just earlier this year Markforged announces the new Mark X. The new Mark X has a build volume of 330x250x200mm and a z-axis resolution of 50 microns.

The Mark X also features a laser scanning for inspections during the printing process with a resolution of one micron. This comes in handy for the pause function where you can put in other parts into your design. The process can be controlled via the included Eiger software. The software also manages the in-process inspections.

Of course the Mark X works with Markforged standard materials Onyx and Nylon and also with all fibres like Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Kevlar and High Strength High Temperature Fibreglass.
