Belgium-based company Materialise will be showcasing a suite of software and solutions for 3D printing within hospitals at the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeon’s Annual Meeting in Florida at the beginning of March.
The Suite will bring together medical software and services into a neutral platform in order to facilitate the integration of 3D planning and printing into hospitals. A new software solution that allows for surgeons to 3D print accurate medical models will also be part of the launch.
Using the new solution, hospitals will be able to create detailed pre-operative plans from digital x-ray images, prepare files for 3D printing, treat complex cases with 3D printed anatomical models, patient-specific guides and implants, and to integrate virtual planning and 3D printing into their surgical workflow.
The AAOS Annual Meeting will take place in Orlando, Florida from March 1 to 5, 2016. Experts from the Materialise Medical team will be present throughout the meeting at booth 3781.
