Nexa3D introduces Nexa AI Software Platform for its XiP Pro Industrial 3D Printer

3D printer manufacturer Nexa3D announced the launch of the Nexa AI software platform at Formnext 2023. This is an AI platform for its industrial 3D printer XiP Pro.

This software uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to revolutionize the user experience in 3D printing and simplify and automate the entire process from file preparation to post-processing.

Nexa AI is designed to help users succeed from the first print – a critical factor for industrial and manufacturing environments where print repeatability and reliability are crucial for mass additive production. With each use, the software learns and becomes more efficient and effective. Benefits for users include simplified and automated workflows, remote monitoring, print management and real-time error detection and intervention.

“In order to truly scale additive production, process repeatability and reliability are absolutely paramount. Until now, 3D printers have been able to create anything but learn nothing. We believe that Nexa AI will change this paradigm in a material way. The ability to incorporate the physics of the print process into the printer intelligence is a huge step forward in the understanding of every aspect of the way we create 3D printed parts,” said Izhar Medalsy, Nexa3D’s Chief Technology Officer.

The Nexa AI platform optimizes build alignment, reduces material waste and minimizes post-processing. Data is collected with each print and used to continuously adjust parameters to avoid misprints, sub-optimal support structures, print speed and inefficient post-processing.

The basic Nexa AI module is available immediately, with further functions and updates to follow over the course of the year. AI-powered printing intelligence combined with Nexa3D’s ultra-fast printing speed and machine performance will increase operational efficiency and improve production yields for industrial users, underscoring Nexa3D’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of additive mass production.
