Creating 3D models can be a time-consuming and costly affair. The newly founded company 3D AI Studio aims to remedy this with an AI-based solution. The software promises to generate 3D models within seconds – based on text or image input.
According to the creators of 3D AI Studio, the platform can be used to generate 3D objects from text descriptions or reference images in just a few seconds. The tool supports common 3D file formats such as .glb, .fbx, .stl, .obj and .usdz. Integration into the 3D software Blender is already in the works.
“Our vision is to drastically reduce the time and cost of 3D modeling and procurement,” explains Jan Hammer, founder and CEO of 3D AI Studio. “We want to provide artists, hobbyists, AR/VR developers, game designers and other creatives with a powerful tool.”
While the first five generations are free of charge, further use is subject to a fee. The costs for hosting the performance-hungry AI models are enormous, the startup explains. The packages start from 9.9 US dollars per month. There is also the option to purchase generators for 3D models with one-off payments.
