The WASP app is an innovative parametric 3D modeling software for clay 3D printing. It can be used to create individual design objects and send them to the company’s own clay 3D printers.
WASP has been one of the pioneers in clay 3D printing since 2012. Its development ranges from small to architectural models printed from raw earth. Tommaso Casucci laid the foundation in 2014 with the first software, the “Vase Generator”. Thanks to the team’s dedicated efforts, the know-how grew continuously.
Developing its own software allows WASP to control technology compatibility and future enhancements. This included integration with the Crane WASP, an architectural-sized 3D printer. The WASP App v0.2 provides users with an easily accessible, powerful approach to 3D modeling and allows creative potential to be realized.
After the beta launch in June 2023, the WASP App v0.2 will be available in August 2023. Users will be able to freely access and experiment with the app. Additional features are planned, including the ability to queue different gCodes in a file to create a variety of unique pieces. This will make the app a perfect complement to the WASP 40100 Clay Production System, a digital factory for the automated production of custom pieces.
