Tronxy introduces affordable ceramic 3D printer for the home

Chinese 3D printer manufacturer Tronxy Moore 1 has unveiled a desktop printer for clay ceramics. The heart of the Moore 1 is the Liquid Deposition Modeling (LDM) technology. This allows various liquid materials such as clay, ceramic paste or red porcelain to be processed. The electric screw extrusion enables precise and uniform material discharge through nozzles with a diameter of 1.0 to 3.0 mm. Fine details can be realized with layer thicknesses between 0.3 and 3.0 mm.

One of the outstanding features is the high printing speed of up to 40 mm/s with low operating noise. This speeds up the manufacturing process and minimizes disturbances in the working environment. Thanks to the removable print head, cleaning and maintenance should be uncomplicated.

The modern design with all-in-one machine structure eliminates the need for complicated assembly. The Moore 1 can be controlled intuitively using the 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen. The printer supports common 3D file formats such as STL, G-Code and OBJ and is compatible with slicing programs such as Cura or Slic3r. Data is transferred via USB, memory card or data transfer.

The company explains that a microwave can be used as a furnace. This allows the prints to be glazed in 35 minutes. The print volume is specified as 180 x 180 x 180 mm. The company sells the 3D printer via Amazon, among others. The model costs 510 euros there.
