VAUDE and URWAHN announce collaboration

The two German companies VAUDE and URWAHN have started a cooperation to work together in the field of sustainable bike and outdoor clothing. VAUDE specializes in ecological functional clothing, while URWAHN produces 3D-printed bicycles.

According to a joint press release, the partnership focuses on fairness, sustainability and a careful use of resources. Both companies have done pioneering work in their fields. URWAHN relies on local manufacturing in Germany for bicycle 3D printing and thus wants to bring value creation back to the region.

VAUDE also attaches great importance to protecting nature and the environment. For a joint collection, recycled materials are used in a closed-loop system. According to URWAHN founder Sebastian Meinecke, innovations have to be designed sustainably for them to really make sense. The focus must be on people and the environment.

With the cooperation, VAUDE and URWAHN want to bundle synergies and bring their competencies together. URWAHN’s 3D-printed bicycles will now be equipped with VAUDE’s functional and ecological clothing. According to the joint vision, this will ensure that the experience for users remains holistic.
