Unofficial Ferrari Testarossa EV concept thanks to 3D printing technology

A digital concept artist has taken up the challenge of reinterpreting the legendary Ferrari Testarossa for the era of electromobility. Instead of simply indulging in virtual renderings, Brian Kim went one step further and turned his concept into a physical model thanks to 3D printing.

The original Testarossa celebrated cult status in the 80s with its V12 mid-engine and timeless wedge shape. Kim’s new edition retains the striking design features, but embodies a visionary future as a high-performance electric vehicle.

Kim collaborated with Kihyeon Kim from prx.works for the 3D realization. His computer model formed the basis for the 3D printing of the Testarossa mock-up. Additive manufacturing allowed even complex surface structures to be reproduced precisely.
